So, this started as a post on my sewing blog, Hink for Ladies, but it quickly became evident that this should be on my main blog here. So:
I have to say, when I started my sewing blog, I never thought anyone besides my husband and a few close friends and family would read it. Now I’ve got a few “internet friends” who read and comment, and I’ve now been given a 2nd Award!
Thank you, thank you to Miss Elaina over at Sew Ducky for her kind words and the award! I’m so happy to have made the connection with you through our websites and you’ve been a source of help and inspiration on this blog and on others. I’ve appreciated your words to me during my recent heartache. I consider you a friend and I’m glad to have met you.
Now – to pass the award onward! I have few internet sewing friends, so I’m going to expand into my other spheres of blogging, too!
1) Justin at Wandering Wonderer: My best friend, my love, my husband. For everything. I can’t express the love I feel for you in words.
2) Carly at Shifting Hermeneutics: for your friendship (online and off), for your support, your love and just for being flat out amazing! I love you.
3) Tripp at Conjectural Navel Gazing: I love you much and count myself lucky to have you in my life!
4) SusQ: my best friend through thick and thin! I’m so happy you’ll be closer to me in a few months! I love you!
5) The Obsquatch: Where would I be without you? Probably somewhere with less joy and laughter! You’re amazing and a great friend – love you man!
6) CeCe – meet world: One of the first friends I made in the infertility blogging world. Thank you for your worlds and encouragement as I learn to cope with the struggles of miscarriage and infertility. You’ve been a comfort and a light.
7) blondedawn: A new friend in my blogging world. I’m looking forward to “knowing” you and hope I can offer you the same support you’ve shown me so far!
Okay…now spread the love people…you don’t have to be as sappy as I quickly turned into as I wrote this! Guess it was a good way to express the joy I’ve been feeling lately to have you all in my life! Man – there I go again…
Need to say somethin non sappy…

Please keep Kirstin, Ben and Raider in your thoughts as they go through some difficult times. Kiersten was someone I went to seminary with. We weren’t very close, but I consider her a friend. Her husband Ben has a brain tumor and things are not looking good. They have a website up where you can read the story and also donate if you are able. Please check it out and keep their family in your thoughts.

POO!!! POO!!!! POO!!!!!!
This is NOT okay with me…I am NOT well pleased! I’ve been looking forward to that! *sad face*
Stupid money making movie producing bastards. Who cares if you want more money – I want more Harry Potter!! Jerk heads…
You know, many many many things in this world would be so much better, so much more pure and enjoyable if money was not involved. Money always comes in and screws everything up!!!!! Just think how much better life would be, how much any experience would be enhanced if it wasn’t attached to stupid pieces of green paper type things!
People are in poverty because of money…
People are greedy because of money…
People are spoiled because of money…
People kill over money…
People die for money…
The whole world revolves around it. Experiences that everyone should be allowed to have and enjoy are not available to everyone because they lack the funds to do it – basic human freakin’ rights!!!!!!
This has gotten way off the topic of Harry Potter…don’t worry, I’m not THAT upset about a movie. I’m angry, but it’ll pass. This really has to do with the fact that the world is screwed up and needs to be changed. Problem is, there’s really nothing that can be done for it. We live in a messed up world, and it would seem for the time being, it’s the best we can do.

Hey all…just thought I would post up the link of Justin’s sermon from this past Sunday. We did a “Creation Sunday” at church, planned by the band I’m in. It was inspired by the “Camp Sunday’s” at my home church where we’d sing camp songs and do skits and come in camp attire. I thought it was time we brought a little camp to the city! We sang some favorites of mine from Good Earth Village and had the kids come sit up front on picnic blankets and sleeping bags. Our original plan was to be outside in the courtyard, but due to rain and wet conditions, we had to be inside.
Justin preached on Joel 1:8-10, 17-20. It was very powerful. I was so proud of him :-D. Check it out, leave a comment, whatever! You can also head over to Justin’s blog and leave him an encouraging note.

Last Friday, I went to see “The Incredible Hulk”. It was AMAZING!!! I loved it! I highly recommend it to all, especially those of you who loved the original TV series, you won’t be disappointed!
Not only is the movie great (with a guest spot from Tony Stark aka, Iron Man!) but I just found out about another reason to love the new Hulk movie – it’s GREEN!
