Theories on Harry Potter

“But he understood at last what Dumbledore had been trying to tell him. It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to face a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew — and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents — that there was all the difference in the world.”

The above quote, you may recognize, is from “Half-Blood Prince.” I’ve been trying to figure out the cover of “Deathly Hallows” since I finished the book. It looks like Harry and Voldemort are on stage, with the curtains and things. However, once I finished the book, I realized that they are in the great hall. The celing above is the sunrise as Harry and Voldemort face each other for the last time. Looking closer, I noticed there were people in the background, watching. What I couldn’t figure out though, is why Harry and Voldemort are not facing each other, they look as if they’re performing almost. Then, last night as I was re-reading “Half-Blood Prince” I came upon the above quote. Dumbledore is explaining to Harry about the prophecy, and that he shouldn’t see it as something set in stone that was going to happen, but rather, something that Voldemort brought about through his actions. He had marked Harry as his equal. If he had never heard the prophecy, it never would have happenend. That even if Harry had never heard the prophecy, given what Voldemort had done to his parents, and put the rest of the wizarding world through, he would still want to see Voldemort stopped, and he would want to do it himself. I read that, and the cover made sense! It is this quote, and the scene of the “final battle” between Voldemort and Harry that is depicted on the cover of Deathly Hallows! That’s my theory any way. What do you think???

(Also, I found this website after I had written the above comments. I was looking to see if anyone else shared my theory, and found that people were discussing what was going to happen in the book solely based on the artwork of the USA and UK covers, which are different. It’s interesting to see how close (or far away!) people were. These comments were made BEFORE the release of book #7)
