So, year one is over!! Can I get a Huzzah?? (huzzah…huzzah…huzzah…) Oh yeah! I’m so glad it’s over! It’s been an interesting year. I’ve met a lot of really great people though, so that’s helped! School in general: not so pretty too good (in the words of Dr. Throntviet, my Hebrew prof). I’ve mostly got all of my classes done that I need to take outside of my study area though, so that’s nice. Good to be done with those and have them out of the way! Getting to this point though was almost like having my toenails pulled off with tweezers. I’ve taken a lot of classes that I’ve felt are pointless, a waste of time. But, I’ll be done next year (again the crowds cheer). It looks like I’ll actually get to take some Old Testament classes in the fall which is a major change! I’m excited about that. Still have not passed my BPE (that’s Bible Proficiency Exam). Hopefully 5 is a charm when it comes to that! I’ll also be starting my thesis next year, so have that to look forward to (grumble, grumble). It’ll just be a lot of work, but hopefully worth it in the end. I’ll be working with my Hebrew professor on that.
I’m off to Chicago for all of June, and then will return to St. Paul to work the rest of the summer, and will hopefully be taking another Hebrew course, and independant study that will hopefully help me understand Hebrew much much better.
Well, that’s all for now…later!
